Peace One Day

As we look at the world today there are not many situations that can be characterized as a good example of peace. As I am writing there are wars and uprisings occurring all over the planet and no one seems to have a recipe for peace. The Bible has a few passages that provide some of the secrets to assure peace. One of those passages is Philippians 4:6,7…”Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7: And the “PEACE OF GOD” which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” We should not try to devise our own plans or come up with our own ideas or schemes to solve our problems and bring peace. This only causes more anxiety and frustration: look at our world today with all of our efforts for peace??  God tells us not to be “care filled about anything.” We must learn to trust Him, trust his words, trust his promises. He never faints or gets weary with our problems (Isaiah 40:28). We must make our requests known to Him in prayer, then go about our lives being obedient to His word and wait for the “PEACE OF GOD” to rule and keep our hearts and minds each day.  The secret of Peace is obeying God, building our relationships with Him by making our requests known to Him; and letting Him handle all the cares in our lives. This will bring about Peace, Peace, God’s Peace.
