When we consider all the beautiful things that God has created in this world and all we have been given, it’s a wonder why so many of us constantly desire more and more. Someone wrote a song once which says “more, more, how do you like it, how do you like it ?”  One of the reasons for this insatiable desire for more and more is the fact that we are constantly bombarded each second of each minute of each hour of each day (directly and subliminally) with advertisements, promotions, and new ideas on our various devises, TV, and social media. Unfortunately, our human nature does crave more and more and with the continual bombardment from the media, it is difficult for us to simply be satisfied with what we have. However, scripture constantly reminds us that having our basic needs met for food, shelter and clothing, we can be content(I Timothy 6:6-9). Scripture also says, “Let your daily behavior be without covetousness; be content with the things that you have, for God has said, I will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews13:5). Blessed contentment comes when you realize that God blessed you to come into this world having your basic needs met (food, clothing, shelter), and that is the same way He will take you out this world. You are Blessed when you recognize the fact that God is with you at all times and because of that fact you can be Content and have peace.  This is Blessed Contentment, so lets walk in it each day.
